Antigone

1969

IN MODERN DRAG we tell the story of the battle of the sexes as related by Sophocles in his immortal classic Antigone.

Antigone, a beautiful sculptress, is working with a nude male model when her female model arrives. Together they taunt him about his homosexuality until he leaves in a huff.

Unaware that Creon, a very sick voyeur, is stealthily watching them from his pad across the courtyard, Antigone and her female model make out. As evidence of her great love, Antigone gives the girl her charm necklace.

Disturbed by a nightmare in which Antigone relives her rape in her early youth, she goes to a discotheque where she finds her necklace on a topless barmaid and from there on becomes enmeshed in ensuing intrigues to recover it.

She finally does recover it only to drape it around her statue to man while she vents her anger by castrating the statue and breaking it to pieces.

In the meantime she has discovered Creon's peeping and torments him with a

strip-tease. Creon is fully consumed in the beauty of the flesh and with his need for gratification now at its peak, he steals into Antigone's apartment and tries to rape her. But he finds himself impotent and in anger he strangles her-or thinks he does.

Creon restores confidence in his manhood with liquor and returns to Antigone's apartment where his maleness now springs alive and in a necrophiliac orgasm, he stirs alive a spark of life in Antigone. Unaware that she is still alive, Creon steals the necklace and returns to his pad again.

Antigone uses a replay of her nude window-tease to gain entry to Creon's room where she murders him and regains her precious charm necklace.

The story ends as it begins by Antigone voicing over the famed epilogue of Sophocles on whose immortal classic this modern story of Antigone is based.
